I can remember my baby’s first Easter. She was 9 months old and had just started to sleep through the night! Like Christmas, we weren’t sure what to buy for our baby for her first Easter – and really if we’re honest, there is probably little need to purchase anything for your baby’s first Easter because they won’t remember it. Money can be tight enough to add Easter gifts to the equation.
But if you are like me and can’t possibly not get something small or memorable for your baby or a special baby you’d like give an Easter gift to, I’ve come up with a selection of gifts that will be much appreciated.
I can’t help but think of Peter Rabbit when it comes to Easter and any crockery, books or personalized ornaments themed around Peter Rabbit is a great gift choice and can become a memorable memento when the baby grows. All of my girls have their own Beatrix Potter inspired fork and spoon set that they use at dinner and I know I will keep them in their memory box when they are older and fly from our nest.
Pyjamas or a onesie in time for the cooler weather can be another great gift idea. In this collage I’ve selected a summer onesie because Easter is early this year and the weather hasn’t cooled yet. Seed Heritage, Cotton On for Kids and Peter Alexander often have really cool Easter themed outfits for babies.
A simple bunny toy can also be a sweet gift. I still have my first daughter’s first Easter bunny. Despite her room overflowing with stuffed animals, this one is still a favourite and a keeper for sentimental reasons. To personalize the bunny you could get it embroidered with the year of baby’s first Easter.
I’ve put together a simple collection of gifts that would make great gifts for a Baby’s first Easter.
Clockwise from the top: Peter Rabbit Baby Slippers, Peter Rabbit Wedgewood Two-piece Gift Set, Seed Heritage Jellycats Bashful Bunny, Seed Heritage Pull-back Bunny, Rabbit Wooden Teether, Lark Store Wooden Stacking Toy, Peter Rabbit Finger Puppet Book, Seed Heritage Applique Body Suit.
What have you bought in the past for your baby’s first Easter? Or do you do away with gifts at Easter?
