Bubba Beanbags Recalled Due to Possible Choking Hazard
Product Safety Australia have put out a national recall on a popular baby bean bag, Bubba Beanbags.
The defective bean bags don’t meet the Consumer Goods Safety Standard 2014 as per a new amendment on 1 July 2016. The new amendment requires the beanbags to have an internal bag with child-resistant slide fastener to prevent a child accessing the polystyrene balls and choking or suffocating on them. The warning label also contains incorrect information.
Customers who have bought one of the beanbags should email info@babybeanbagshop.com.au to arrange for the beanbag to be returned. The supplier will remove the toggle on the internal zip and current warning label before returning it to make the product comply.
The product was sold online from 1st July 2016 to 31st December 2016. For more information head to the Product Safety Recall notice.
