Trevion and Joani were a couple who felt their family was complete. The high school sweethearts had 4 daughters aged 20, 17, 10 and 8.
Doctors told Joani she would not be able to have more children due to a medical condition that would stop her from falling pregnant.
Trevion and Joani didn’t mind the news because they were happy with their family.
But seven years later, the same doctor that told them they couldn’t fall pregnant, told them they were. Not only was Joani pregnant, she was going to have identical triplets. Everyone was shocked with the scan results.
Identical triplets are very rare. The odds of having identical triplets is between one in 60 thousand to one in 200 million.
Despite Joani falling pregnant, her pregnancy was deemed high risk because she was short and carrying three babies. Joani and Trevion were told the survival for the triplets would be low. If they were to keep growing, they would put Joani’s life at risk.
Joani and Trevion felt anxious about the triplets and a woman from their church reached out and told them to seek Haven Ob/Gyn.
The triplets were born three months premature. The doctor prayed during the delivery and with Joani as the boys were delivered. They were so small, Trevion could slip his wedding ring over their entire arms.
The children are now 18 months old and you wouldn’t believe the odds of health were against them.
