Five-Year-Old Finds Drugs in a Kinder Surprise Egg

You just never know what surprise your child will find in a Kinder Surprise. The toy inside the inner plastic egg of the popular confectionery item is always a big drawcard for kids.

So you can imagine the surprise one five-year-old boy from Belfast felt when instead of finding a toy in his Kinder Surprise, he found a bag of crystal meth – not that he knew it at the time.

Luckily when the boy opened the yellow egg (which was found in a garden hedge), he had his brother with him and they handed the strange powdered package to their father. The father passed it to police who confirmed it was methamphetamine, according to the Daily Star.

Crystal Meth is a very dangerous drug and an extremely addictive stimulant. Had the little boy consumed it, it would have been detrimental.

Colin Shaw, PSNI Inspector said, “The contents of the bag, which was found inside a toy egg, is believed to be methamphetamine.

“This incident is of the uppermost concern for all of us.

“This incident just reminds us that criminals have no regard whatsoever for the safety of local residents, and I am thankful that this child had the sense to speak to an adult about what he discovered.”

I’m sure his parents are too.
