The first birthday for your baby is not one that your baby will remember. Despite the amazing effort that can go into celebrating a baby’s first Birthday, the party is more for the parents, than the baby.
But you can turn your baby’s first birthday into something special, just as this family did for their daughter, Abby, back in 1999.
Abby’s parents were organizing a party for her first Birthday when they realized they didn’t want or need any gifts that their soon-to-be one year old wouldn’t appreciate.
The couple sent our birthday invitations that said instead of buying a gift, write a letter to our daughter instead.
The letters were never opened, until Abby turned 18 and she was given a pile of letters that had been kept away for 17 years.
Among the 25 letters that Abby received, 7 people had passed on, which made their letters even more special.
Abby told her parents that the gift of the letters was the most precious gift anyone could receive and she would treasure it always.
It’s never too late to start a time capsule for your child now.
Abby laughed and cried all night as she read the letters.
Imagine how your child will feel if they received the same gift on their 18th Birthday?
