Toddlers are notorious for never leaving their parents alone. Even if a parent escapes to the toilet, their toddler will find them.
One mum has shown how the struggle is real to get 1 minute alone to go to the toilet.
The video shows a toddler standing in the doorway talking about skin colour and not budging to leave her mum in peace for a moment.
The mum asks her daughter if she can be left alone and the toddler replies, “Yeah if you just let me know when I can come in.”
The toddler closes the door but leaves a small gap and pokes her head through.
“You’re welcome mumma,” she continues to say. “You’re welcome. You just let me know when I can come in.
“Ok? Goodbye mumma. I’ll see you later. Be out soon, let me know when you know, okay? Alright mumma. I’ll close the door. You’re welcome mumma.”
The mum is so patient. She never raises her voice during the ordeal. By the fourth time of the door opening I would be barking at my kids to leave me alone!
The video went viral when it was shared on the NTD Television Facebook page last week. It has had over 13 million views and 100,000 shares in five days.
The video is relatable to many parents who have had an audience when they’ve gone to the toilet.
One person wrote under the video, “Oh you’re the best mumma ever. So patient with your young sweet baby, she’s completely adorable.”
