Having twins is double the love, but also double the work, they say, so imagine having three sets of twins in a 26-month period.
One Kansas Super mom has achieved a 1 in 88,000 chance of having three sets of non-identical twins in a little over two years.
Danesha Couch, 20, told Fox 4 News people consider her a freak of nature after conceiving three sets of twins in a short amount of time.
“People just consider me a freak of nature when I tell them.”
The mum who lives in Kansas City with her fiancé, gave birth to her third set of twins last month, named Delanie and Darla. Last year she gave birth to Delilah and Davina and the year before that she gave birth to twin boys Danarius and Desmond.
Sadly, Desmond died shortly after birth as he and his brother Danarius were born premature.
The mum told Fox News it was a very bad time in her life.
Doctors believe Couch’s race may have played a factor in her ability to fall pregnant with twins. Caucasian and Asian women are less likely than African-American women to give birth to twins. The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology published a report that stated those who give birth to twins have a higher chance to do give birth to twins again.
Which is what has happened to Couch, but amazingly it’s happened three times.
There are no plans to fall pregnant a fourth time as she and her fiancé are planning to marry in September.
“I love babies but maybe in 10 to 15 years, when these ones are big enough to help,” she told Inside Edition.
Couch has been denied benefits to financialy assist the family. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family purchase diapers and formula.
Couch has admitted it has been financially tough and the extra help would help them greatly.
