How to Create Easter Memories Your Children Can Reflect on

I’m a sucker for nostalgia. I love when an item has memories attached to it. I can’t not get rid of something attached to memories.

One of my most valued belongings is a teddy bear my dad owned from when he was a child. The teddy is over 5o years old and I wish it could tell me stories of my father’s childhood. Oh the stories it could tell.

As a result of my love for all things nostalgic, I’ve kept the outfits each of my girls came home in from the hospital, to the knitted blanket I’d wrap on or around them in the cot or pram. I want my girls to one day appreciate these items when they are older. They may even choose to use them on their own children.

Their personalized Santa Sack is one item I hope will give them memories of their childhood, and the next item on my list is a personalized Easter basket for our Easter Egg Hunts.

One of our favourite family traditions at Easter is holding an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard. It’s a joy to watch the excitement of kids looking for eggs.

Now that my children are older, they love nothing more than to scout the backyard for eggs. Traditions make for great memories for kids and it becomes an annual event the kids look forward to every year.

A personalized basket ensures each child has their own vessel to carry eggs in. It can be used each year as Easter rolls in and it has the potential to hold more than just eggs, it can carry childhood memories.

I’ve scoured Etsy for some gorgeous personalized Easter baskets. They truly do make a beautiful gift at Easter filled with chocolate treats. The basket can be put away for safe-keeping for each year as Easter rolls around.

Do your children have a personalized Easter basket? What traditions does your family hold at Easter?
