Reddit user YoungPTone went onto an internet forum to ask for suggestions on why his wife’s Fitbit device was measuring high heart rate readings.
The husband wrote, “My wife’s Fitbit is showing her heartbeat being consistently high over the last few days.”
“2 days ago, a somewhat normal day, she logged 10 hours in the fat burning zone, which I would think to be impossible based on her activity level.
“I’m not sure if something is wrong with the sensor. Is there a way to reset or recalibrate the device? I’d like to try that before I contact customer service about a possible replacement,” he wrote.
Several members on the forum suggested his wife could be pregnant.
After reading the comments, the couple took a pregnancy test and found out that they were expecting a child.
The next day the husband shared, “I’m going to be a dad!”
Who knew a Fitbit could detect body changes associated with pregnancy?
Congratulations to the couple.
