National Recall Information of Children’s Paracetamol

There has been an urgent recall issued by The Therapeutic Goods Administration of certain generic batches of children’s paracetamol and ibupofen.

The products have been recalled due to a choking risk that the lids on the 200ml bottles pose to children. The grooves on the plastic lids have been found to splinter when opened, leading to the risk that the small plastic pieces could be swallowed.

The recall follows five other product recalls of children’s paracetamol and ibupofen products.
