A Baby Has so Much Hair it Shows up on The Ultrasound

When Natasha and Ashley Gent went in for their 20-week ultrasound, they were told their baby girl had a bit of hair. Their daughter had so much hair, it could be seen on her ultrasound.

The parents didn’t know what to expect when their daughter, Holly, arrived. They were shocked at the length of Holly’s hair when she was born as it was much longer than other babies.

Natasha explained, “We were prepared after being told she would have a bit of hair at her scan but it was still a shock when she came out and we could see just how much she had compared to other babies.”

Since Holly was born 4-months ago, her hair hasn’t stopped growing.

Her mum admits her daughter’s hair has been “really easy to look after”.

Holly is often the center of attention when she’s out and about with her parents, and everyone comments on her long tresses.

“Everyone comments on Holly’s hair from friends and family to complete strangers. It doesn’t matter where I am, the supermarket or out for lunch, guaranteed someone will come over to say how amazing her hair is and loads of people tell us she looks like a little doll.

“I catch people staring and nudging each other going ‘Wow look at that baby’s hair’. It’s nice as a mum to hear that, although sometimes I don’t know what to say because there’s only so many ways you can say thank you.”

Within the first six months, babies usually lose their hair, but Holly’s hair has shown no signs of being lost. In fact, her hair hasn’t stopped growing.

Natasha, a beauty advisor said, they have to blow dry their daughter’s hair after it’s been washed, but when she is older, they will let Holly decide how she wants to style or change her hair. At this stage daddy doesn’t want to cut his daughter’s hair.

“I’ve tried to tell her dad that she might need her first haircut soon and he just won’t accept it. We’re both fans of long hair but he is definitely more attached to it than me. It’s just so beautiful.”
