Christmas is all about love and family and one mum and dad in the US decided to add to their family and surprise their daughter’s by sharing their ‘new gift’ under their Christmas tree.
Courtney Solstad went on Facebook to share how her family of five adopted Nathan and welcomed him to their family before Christmas.
Her three daughters had been excited about adopting a baby. One of her daughter’s, Chloe, had written down a Christmas wish, requesting another sibling through adoption.
The wish came true when the Solstads brought Nathan home.
Courtney and her partner surprised the girls by placing Nathan under the Christmas tree. When the girls arrived home, they were told to go down to the tree to share a present.
Their reaction to their new adopted baby brother was adorable.
One of the daughters cried in happiness. Another was so excited she admitted she was going to pee her pants.
A video of the girls’ reactions was filmed and put on Youtube.
Solstad wrote on Facebook, “The girls knew nothing about Nathan until this,” she wrote. “We met them at the door and told them that we had been out Christmas shopping and got them a gift to share… and it was under the tree.”
Welcoming Nathan to their family has been “one of the most magical experiences in our lives.”
“We prayed big things and God answered in big ways,” she wrote. “Our little guy is so incredibly perfect.”
The family has received well wishes since sharing their surprise announcement. We hope they have a most blessed Christmas.
