Diabetic Woman Gives Birth To 6kg Baby

A diabetic woman in New Delhi has given birth to a baby boy weighing 6 kilos.

The mother, Shabana Begum, from Hyderabad gave birth to the baby at Niloufer hospital. Doctors performed a scan on the mother a couple of days before delivery and predicted the baby to weigh 5kg.

But when the baby was born, they were surprised to find the baby weighed 6kg.

The standard weight of an Indian baby is between 2.5-3.5 kg, and a diabetic mum gives birth to babies weighing an average 4kg.

Both mum and baby are doing well but doctors have them under observation.
