ISOFIX is here!
The long wait is over! Finally, after much anticipation the first Australian approved ISOFIX compatible car seats will soon be on the market with Maxi-Cosi Australia announcing the release of their new ISOGO range featuring the new Euro and Hera.
What is ISOFIX?
ISOFIX is the standardised international car seat fitting system, which provided parents with the easiest, quickest and most importantly the safest way to install their child’s car seat correctly – and replaces the need to use car seat belts in the installation of seat. It uses the two standard seat attachment points located at the base of the rear seat – points which are standard in all new cars manufactured from 2006.
Installing an ISOGO car seat to your car’s ISOFIX points is a simple and safe three process.
- . Select which Maxi-Cosi car seat featuring ISOGO is right for your child.
- . Easily connect the ISOGO connectors to your cars ISOFIX points and attached the upper tether anchor strap.
- 3. Simply adjust the left and right lower connectors until the tension indicators turn green and ensure the top tether strap is fitted as per the instruction manual.
Both the Maxi-Cosi Hera and Euro are suitable from birth to four years and will be available from selected retailers from 27 September 2014.
