Mum of Newborn Triplets Shares Gorgeous Photos of Her Bubs and Her Postpartum Belly
The Danish mum whose beautifully enormous baby belly photos went viral has shared new photos of her newborn triplets as well as progress pics of her slowly deflating postpartum baby belly.
Posting on Instagram as Triplets of Copenhagen, mum Maria looks happy and relaxed as she cradles her tiny little ones in these adorable photos.
Now a family of six, Maria and husband Anders named their newborn daughters Iben and Agnes, and their son Filip. The triplets’ arrival makes 2-year-old Mikael a big brother and their parents outright superheroes!
Maria shared a photo of her baby bump at 35 weeks, just two days before her spontaneous triplets were born via caesarian section. “In two days we’ll finally meet our babies, and I won’t have to drag around this 20 kg bump anymore,” she captioned the incredible snap.

Maria began to document her postpartum body after her triplets were born, describing the process of her body returning to a normal, non-pregnant state. She has been praised for the brutally honest way she has shown the realities of what her body went through while creating and growing her gorgeous babies.
After one week: “I now have a really weird looking hanging belly, which is still quite heavy. My uterus has not shrunk back yet. Because my belly was so stretched it takes longer than usual. I’m gonna get a belly band/support binder asap, because it’s quite annoying and the sagging makes my c-section scar hurts. I’m really impatient to get my body back!”

Four weeks postpartum: “I still have a weird looking hanging belly, and I am a bit surprised it has not gotten smaller since my last picture three weeks ago. Kind of disappointing I must admit, and I am not too happy to share this picture. On the positive side the c-section scar doesn’t hurt anymore, and in the last two days I’ve almost felt like myself again!”

The human body is quite amazing, isn’t it?
Maria shared the following photo on the day that her triplets were due, announcing that eldest daughter Iben’s feeding tube had finally been removed, meaning that the family were finally free from hospital visits and ready to take their first totally independent steps as a family of six.
