Would Your Hubby Do This? Dads-To-Be Go Through Simulated Labour Pains…And They REALLY Don’t Like it!

Let’s face it… it’s pretty hard to imagine the pain of childbirth unless you’ve been there and done it yourself. Despite all of the stories, videos and blood-curdling screams, guys really don’t have a clue about what childbirth feels like. Until now that is! A few brave men decided to hook themselves up to machines that would simulate labour pains (and we say a ‘few’ because it turns out that not all that many are actually willing to do it!). And the results? Well they’re pretty hilarious!

In this video a man decides to hook himself up to a labour-pain simulator. His clearly very amused wife struggles to hold back her laughter as he writhes about on the bed, screaming and lashing out. In a hilarious role reversal, after telling his wife that he ‘needs her out of his face’, she calmly tells him to ‘just breathe’ and that he’s ‘doing great honey’.

When The Try Guys decided to take on the labour-pain simulator, they asked ‘how hard can it be?’… only to be told ‘it’s the worst pain in the world’ by their doctor. Hmm – perhaps not the answer they were after. After discussing some pretty serious issues with their doctor, they pop on the electrical simulation pads and get started. If you’ve ever wanted to see fully grown men squeal like little girls, this is your chance!

The guys agree that in case things get too much, their ‘safe word’ would be ‘epidural’. Watch and see how long it takes for them to start screaming ‘epidural’… it’s an embarrassingly short time. We must say that we love the part where the guys admit that “your mum is tougher than you” and “I love my mum and I’m sorry I did this to her” – totally hilarious (and kind of like music to our ears!).

And this pair thought that they were super brave as their wives watched on. It’s fair to say that their braveness didn’t last for very long at all. “That sucked… that was horrible” pretty much sums it up.

As hilarious as these videos are, we’re pretty sure it would pay for these guys to remember that in real childbirth there is no option to turn off the labour pains AND it goes on for a heck of a lot longer than 10 minutes or so!
