Nameberry Announces Top 100 Baby Names of 2017 So Far
We’re only halfway through 2017 and the editors of Nameberry have released the most popular baby names thus far in the US. While the name trends may not necessarily predict the trends in Australia, they can give some inspiration to couples looking for the perfect name for their baby.
So far Asher is the number 1 boy name for 2017, pushing Ezra out of first place. There are also new names that have made the top 100 including Kane, Magnus, Arlo and Cassius.
Theodore and Jasper have made it to the top 10 boy names for 2017.
The girl names are still fairly predictable, following past trends with Olivia reaching the top place (which has never been number 1 in the US before) followed by Amelia and Charlotte.
Classic girl names have made it into the top ten names for girls including Evelyn, Penelope, and Eleanor. Five new names that have made the top 100 are Celeste, Ines, Fiona, Saskia and Alexandra.
These name rankings are predicted to change by the years end, but they current Top 100 are showing some interesting name trends.
