Many of us understand the struggle of making sure our kids try new foods, but this creative Dad has come up with an adorable way of helping his two year old son eat.
After struggling since he was a baby to eat food, Stuart Hallworth’s son Jack was prescribed milk to ensure he was getting enough vitamins and minerals in his diet. Stuart told the Manchester Evening News: “He really likes playing with it and gets him used to having food around him. I also like that he’s learning about different foods, colours, textures and what the pictures are – for example the train, he learnt about the different parts of it.”

Stuart has been told that Jack will likely grow out of his aversion to food which possibly was caused due to an illness he had as a young baby or because he has enlarged tonsils which may make swallowing painful. He has been told by Doctors that the next six months are vital to getting Jack back eating food and off his prescribed milk.
Since he has been putting together these fun creations, Jack has gone from playing with his food to licking it and then eating and swallowing it. Stuart says “He loves to help me prepare the food and loves baking too. He now realises that eating is good and necessary and he is very proud of himself when he does, he keeps saying it’s in his tummy and he wants to be big and strong like daddy.”
When you look at some of Stuart’s amazing creations, it’s no wonder Jack can’t resist them!
