How a Family of Seven Sleep in the ONE Room

Every parent knows what a battle it can be to get kids to bed. Elizabeth and Tom Boyce  would go through the same battle each night, trying to get their five children to bed. When it came to bedtime, their children aged from 1 to 11 would run amuck instead of going to sleep at bedtime.

To solve the problem, Elizabeth and Tom created a bed structure that could sleep all seven of them using IKEA furniture.

“I wanted to make sure each kid had a little, you know, like some space of their own,” Elizabeth said. “We hung a little curtain and did little mood lighting, you know, just made it fun.”

So far the set up has been working well for the family and everyone has been getting their sleep.

The Boyce’s believe they sleep better as a result of their new bed.
