Why We Love The New Britax Capsule

We were VERY excited last year when Britax announced the release of it new Unity Infant Capsule and now that’s it’s been on the market for almost a year, we decided to put together a list of why we love the new Britax Capsule.

Travel system friendly

The Britax Unity Baby Capsule can be used in conjunction with the Britax Sroller 2014 CLICK & GO adaptor to make it compatible with a selection of Britax, BOB and Steelcraft prams and strollers. Also with the purchase of special receivers, it’s also compatible with the Bugaboo Cameleon3 and Buffalo prams.  Being able to transfer your baby directly from the car to their pram or vice versa allows your baby to stay asleep (well hopefully!) when you are out and about and also cuts down on the amount of boot space your pram seat would take up.

The ONLY infant carrier suitable for low birth weight and premature babies

The Unity has been specially designed to include closer lap and shoulder straps to help better secure premature and low weight babies who don’t have any restrictive medical conditions.  It’s also the only infant restraint to be tested using a 2kg dummy versus the industry standard 4kg dummy – the average size of a 4 week old.

It’s ISOFIX compatible

ISOFIX is the standardised international car seat fitting system which helps give parents a quick and most importantly safe way to install their child’s carseat and the Unity is one of only a handful of capsules in Australia which offer this feature.

A compact design

With it’s compact and space saving base, the Unity has been specially designed with small cars in mind.

It can be used for longer

Unlike many rear facing car seats, the Unity can be used up until your child is approximately 12 months of age – depending on their size of course.

Do you have a Britax Unity Capsule? What’s your favourite feature?

Lauren

Lauren founded her website Create Bake Make as a way to justify the ridiculous amount of baking she loves to do. She has a super sweet tooth and enjoying a slice of cake (or two) is one of her guilty indulgences. As a Mum of two little boys, when she isn't creating fun activities for the kids or breaking up arguments over toy trucks and cars, you will find her in the kitchen baking up a storm - or hiding in the pantry with the latest cooking magazine and a hot cup of coffee!
