The 20 Most Popular Baby Names for 2018 Have Been Revealed
Expectant mums across the UK were asked what they were planning on naming their baby, creating this list of the most popular baby names of 2018. The survey collated the answers from 3,500 pregnant women who are due to give birth next year, revealing names that some may want to avoid for being too common.
Surprisingly, many of these names are very traditional in their origins. Perhaps the news of a royal baby has influenced these mums-to-be in opting for a regal name for their newborns as well?
George, coming in at number four on the boy’s list, looks to have been made popular by the Duke and Duchess’ of Cambridge’s eldest child, while Charlotte came in at 13th on the girl’s list. Uncle Harry may be the reason for his moniker to score the number one spot.
