“Creative Mother” Insists on Giving Her Infant Daughter Insulting Name To Spite the Haters

A woman has stood her ground when it comes to being “creative” in naming her children, insisting on naming her as-yet-unborn daughter an insulting name just to spite her haters.

There’s nothing like saddling an innocent child with a whole lot of unnecessary baggage because you struggle with attention issues.

Screenshots of text messages between the mum-to-be, Lynden, and a soon-to-be-ex-friend have been shared online after the woman revealed her baby name choice on social media.

Oh, indeed.

Without a doubt, creative name spellings have seen quite a rise in popularity over the last couple of decades. There are eight different spellings for the name Hailey, for example. (Hailey, Hailee, Haleigh, Haley, Haylee, Hayleigh, Hayley, Haylie)

But to choose a name to spite random strangers on the internet is a bit much.

Worse still, Tragedeigh Anne sounds like Raggedy Ann’s messed up older sister.

The screenshot made its way to Reddit where plenty of people had some interesting opinions.

“Imagine being so bitter and angry that you think it’s logical to name your daughter Tragedy in order to spite people on Facebook… she’s got her priorities in order for sure,” penned one commenter.

“Another parent that can’t see past themselves when naming their child 🙄. Perhaps she should just name her Saelphesh or Narssiseighst,” added another.

Someone else asked a very reasonable question: “Who tf would name their child something they consider to be a “slur”?!”

Ultimately, the top commenter gave some very sage advice when it comes to creatively naming your child something a little different.

“Tell her to go to Starbucks and order a drink. When they ask her name give Tragedeigh as her name. If she can’t bring herself to do it because it’s ridiculous, then she shouldn’t make her child do it either.”

Very well put! Test drive that moniker! If you feel anything other than joy and pride, bin it and start again.
