St John Ambulance Viral Baby CPR Video
We know that as a parent, the thought of discovering that your baby isn’t breathing, is almost too much to bear. But being prepared and knowing the best steps to take in such a medical emergency, could mean the difference between life and death.
The new video released by St John’s Ambulance is aimed at teaching people how to administer CPR on a baby, and thankfully it is proving to be very popular.
The video itself features a number of well-known nursery rhyme puppets, (Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Incy Wincy Spider and the Cat and the Fiddle) who sing their way through the steps to take when performing CPR on a baby.
Step One: Call an ambulance
Step Two: Place the baby on a flat surface
Step Three: Cover their mouth and nose with your mouth
Step Four: Give 5 puffs of air
Step Five: Use two fingers in the middle of the chest and pump 30 times
Step Six: Repeat 2 puffs and 30 pumps until the ambulance arrives
The video ends with a call to action for parents, grandparents and caregivers:
“Remember this song in case things go wrong.
