When a mum of one posted a parody of Ten Little Monkeys on her Facebook page she had no idea that it would strike such a nerve with mothers around the world. Kate Blandford shared the following verse on her page about the love/hate relationship she has with her mother’s group and it instantly became an internet sensation.
From her Facebook page it was then shared on Reddit and that’s when it took on a life of it’s own. It seems that mother’s had a lot of pent up frustration about the unwanted advice which is directed to them daily, especially from their mum’s group. I think we’ve all come across a few mums that think they are experts in everything and think nothing of throwing in their 2 cents worth about why your child isn’t sleeping, pooping or breathing right.
